/ About the project
Collaborating with London’s renowned exhibition innovators, Wood Int. I spearheaded the conceptualisation and design of a new dynamic event and exhibition space for Qatar Tourism Authority. The brief was to create a statement environment, one that not only commanded attention within a competitive international arena but also embodied Qatar’s deep cultural roots while projecting its progressive, global vision.
The design language drew inspiration from Qatar’s pivotal role as a crossroads in the historic flow of trade between East and West along the Persian Gulf. Taking cues from the elegant curves and structural ingenuity of traditional Qatari dhow sailing vessels, the forms were developed to express fluidity, movement, and openness, evoking both the rhythm of the sea and the seamless exchange of ideas, goods, and culture.
